Seasoned to Share

Seasoned to Share is a community-based cooking and food education program offered by the Cochrane Regional Food Bank. The program brings people together through food, friendship and shared learning. Through hands-on cooking workshops, participants learn how to prepare affordable, nutritious meals using accessible ingredients, develop practical kitchen skills, explore food preservation techniques and discover creative ways to make their grocery budgets stretch further. From homemade soups and summer salads to baking, pickling and preparing meals from pantry staples, Seasoned to Share focuses on building food confidence while encouraging participants to share recipes, traditions and personal experiences.More than just a cooking program, Seasoned to Share helps reduce social isolation, strengthen community connections and create a welcoming environment where people of all ages and backgrounds can learn from one another. Our goal is simple: to nourish more than just the body. We strive to build friendships, encourage independence, reduce food insecurity and remind participants that everyone has something valuable to bring to the table.
